Competition Summary
Members entering competitions should be available for both finals days if successful and for marking in earlier rounds. Competitors failing to play by due dates are liable to be scratched. See the Rules exhibited in the Club House. Finals days Sat 6th ( pm only ) and Sun. 7th September (AM and PM) 2008.
Mens
Championship: 4 woods. Winner is first to 21 shots. (Final is held on afternoon of Sunday 7th September)
Handicap: 4 woods. Winner is first to 21 + his handicap
Novices: Open to members who have not previously won a Club singles. Winner is first to 21 shots. 4 woods
Pairs: Entrants are placed in a draw. High handicap players are seeded to try to equalise the pairings 4 woods. Play 21 ends. Final is held on afternoon of Saturday September 6th.
Mixed
Two Woods: Play first to 21 shots. 2 woods only.
Jack Lines: Played at 4.30pm onwards. Best of three ‘sets’ each played as winner first to 7 shots. Therefore could run for only 2 ‘sets’ to 7 shots.
League: Monday league 2.00 start –play till 4.30pm.or 16 ends. 3 play from teams of 5 or 6, to a schedule so all teams play each other, over the season. Final rules will be published. This league will only take place if there are entries sufficient to form the teams. Organised by Mr David Lush.
Ladies

Handicap: 4 woods. Winner is first to 21 shots plus her handicap
Pairs: 4 woods. Pairs are drawn. Play to 21 ends
Two Woods: Winner is first to 21 ends. 2 woods only
Competitions games are booked in the Diary for the Green, in the Club House.
