Welcome to the Stanmore Bowls website! This website has been designed to run on most PCs without too many problems. There are some notes below on a couple of the questions you might have.
Site Navigation
You should see a menu across the top of the site as shown below. The contents of the site are all listed on one page. This can be reached by clicking on the 'contents' button as shown below.
If the above menu has not loaded, it is likely you need to perform a one-off installation of 'Java' onto your computer. You can obtain this by clicking on the logo below.
Not only will this help you view the menu on this site but it will also enable features on other websites you visit that would otherwise have been hidden.
Once you have downloaded and installed this software, close your internet browser, re-open it and load this website.
Security Messages/Scripts/ActiveX
When running this site on your PC, you may see a message near the top of your screen such as the one shown below. This could prevent some of the functions on this site from running, such as the menu or button controls.
Microsoft's explanation for this is as follows:

A pop up box will appear. Click Yes to continue.
The site will now run correctly. Please note: you may need to do this everytime you access www.StanmoreBowls.co.uk and will not cause any harm to do this each time.
There are ways of permanently switching on active content for specific website. To find out how, the next time the message appears at the top of the screen, click 'More information' as shown below.
On the pop-up box that appears, select the appropriate section from the help menu that appears.
